Football and Food

If you looked through the mass of pictures in yesterday's blog post you probably wouldn't think we did anything this past weekend besides walk and around and take pictures. However, we did take some time to fit some football in on Saturday! We are quite the football fans and create quite the setup - well Hubs creates quite the setup with his IT skills. So after we had watched the most important SEC games we thought it would be fun to have some friends come over for the night games. However, I didn't have time to cook dinner but still wanted to have enough finger foods to replace a big dinner. I looked on Pinterest and found an easy fast ham and cheese crescent roll sandwich. I figured these sandwiches with a few other dips would do the part. These would also be great for toddlers to help with.

Our three "tvs" with 3 different games

A couple of packages of Pillsbury crescent rolls, Ham sandwich meat, slices of cheese - your choice
Roll those puppies up with the point down

And of course a blueberry pie

Wonderful Weekend

Well, we are back from our weekend in Jacksonville visiting family and going to the FL v GA football game! It was such a fun weekend and of course filled with traditions, as well as new traditions in the making now that there is a 6 month old little one. Friday, we split up guys and girls and mom and I went shopping and got pedicures while dad and Ben went pistol shooting and played golf. If I am ever in a hostage situation I now know that I have 2 men that can seriously harm the person holding me. :) Saturday, everyone got into town, Spencer wore his cute frog costume for his 1st Halloween, we went to the awesome game and then over to our annual Spencer/Cheney after party with 100 or so old friends! Such a wonderful tradition. So here are some pics from the fun weekend (did you think I wouldn't have any)...

A Layered Weekend

So tonight Ben and I leave for my hometown, Jacksonville for the fun rivalry game of Florida vs Georgia on Saturday! I'm so excited to finally get to go home since I have not been since this summer. (Don't worry I found other ways to see my family) Growing up this was my favorite games of the year for so many reasons. I loved that it was in our city which meant that I got to see all of my friends, the rivalry is also so fun and for some reason I had also always liked Georgia fans growing up - I think it's because they dress classy and fashionable. :) Speaking of fashion, one new look is the layered cardigan look. Here's a few ways to master the look or fake it. (If only I knew about the Marc Jacobs one before the game since he so fashionably makes orange and blue stylish - that's a hard task)

love this one by french connection
Go Gators and Marc Jacobs!
Great for work from where else but Ann Taylor Loft!

Favorite Things: Part 2

Well, it's time to start the week again but not before saying how great the weekend was! It was so nice to be home and enjoy some more of my favorite things! We had 9 fabulous hours of watching football with our friends. Of course, with that comes lots and lots of food (it's Fall and so pumpkin pie has once again made it's debut) During our 9 hours of fun, we were kept entertained by all of our funny husbands, who get even funnier when they're together! So all-in-all, here is the favorite things list: Fall, Football, Friends, Food and of course Funny husbands! Can't wait to do it again!
The girls...and yes, I'm short! ;)
Pumpkin pie, which we ate for an appetizer!
