Pollen Anyone?

Spring has definitely arrived and we're loving it!! The flowers are in full bloom and everywhere. It's gorgeous to say the least. We are really going to miss this. However, the pollen is the worst it has been. The roads and sidewalks are green and you can't even tell what colors the cars are anymore - just green. You might think I'm exaggerating but read this article to see how crazy it is here. Hubby can hardly go 10 minutes without sneezing. He has the worst seasonal allergies. We make a great couple since I have all the food allergies and he has the outdoor allergies. One of us is always sneezing. Ha Although, even with all the pollen taking over it is still absolutely gorgeous and I wouldn't trade it. Here are lots of pics I took on Sunday...

I won't be blogging tomorrow or Friday since we will be apartment hunting!

This doesn't even come close to showing the pollen craziness

Thankful:
1. Beautiful flowers
2. Colors
3. Warm weather

Friends, Food, and Freedom

I couldn't blog yesterday because I was still too full from all the eating that went on this weekend! :) No, I was actually just lazy as the Hubby says. However, this weekend was anything but lazy (sort of.) It was fun-filled to say the least. Friday we had a large group of people, (including my old roommate from Charlotte and her fiancée) cook out by the pool! It was so great to catch up. This was just the beginning of the food coma weekend. (I am going to post recipes of some of the yummies that were made this weekend at a later date.) Sunday, after a great sermon at church regarding the resurrection of Christ we headed over to our friends house for a potluck brunch! We had so much awesome food and drinks!! We talked, ate and laughed until everyone forced themselves to leave 4 hours later. It was a great last Easter weekend in North Carolina! And I love that Easter brings such an incredible hope and freedom to a world that has little. It's so nice to know that only by grace do I have hope and not anything I actually do! I hope yall had a great weekend as well.

1st Easter for little bud!
The eggs were filled with his favorite - dirt and rocks
Our tasty drink sation
Forgot to take a pic before we dug in - this is only 1/2 of the food
Friday baked mac & cheese - recipe later
One reason why Hubby married me - mom's recipe for blueberry pie

Good Friday

I was planning on showing you today all the items I have been making this week but then I remembered that there are more important things going on, like Good Friday. I can't put into words how special this day is. If it weren't for this day and the ultimate sacrifice Jesus took upon himself we would have no hope. I'm so thankful for this day especially since I am so undeserving. I hope everyone has an absolutely wonderful Easter weekend!! There is so much to be thankful for! If you want a good but kind of intense read here is one Hubby sent me yesterday

On a different note, here are some fun Martha ideas

Easter Egg Puzzle Cookies

Thankful:
1. A God who loves us even though we don't deserve it
2. A God who sent his only son to die for me and then rose from the grave!

Frame It!

Yesterday was a great day! It was beautiful here. Not a cloud in the sky, upper 70s, with the fresh scent of Spring flowers in the air. Can you tell I'm loving this? I'm not the only one either, there were so many people out walking today, it seems that no one can stay inside. However, I did manage to get some stuff done before venturing outside. Remember pre-Christmas when I had those earring frames? Well, I have 2 left that I am selling but not putting up on the website. So that means that there are two people (if wanted) that can buy these lovely earring frames. They are $36 each plus shipping. Here's a look at one of them...

Now I must get ready to go and work out by the pool today!! Ahh, the joys of being my own boss

Only $36
This is my personal frame which serves only for what it looks like once earrings are hanging...
