That's what I've been lately. But to make it up here is a yummy apple cake recipe to make it better! Its oh so very delicious - and comes from a very dear family friend. I believe I first had some of this cake around 20 years ago. Thanks Mrs. Becky! (If I left something out let me know) I hope yall enjoy the apple butterscotch deliciousness.

Pre-warning: watch out for burns while taking the cake out! OUCH!

Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon in bowl
Mix together oil, eggs, and sugar in another bowl
In another bowl, have diced apples
In a large bowl mix together all ingredients alternating flour mixture with sugar mixture and apples. Then add the pecan and 1/2 package of butterscotch. Pour into a greased 13x9 dish and sprinkle the remaining butterscotch. Bake at 350 for 40-50 minutes.

  1. Yum! I have already made one this season - your post just inspired me to make another! I'll have to tell my mom you posted this - she'll be so honored. :) Loved your photos from your FL trip too - that chalkboard is awesome!

  2. I made one last night also!
If only I could make those cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies like she does! She is the ultimate baker!

  3. Ultimate baker for sure!!! Maybe Mrs Becky should be a guest blogger and do her cinnamon rolls!!!

  4. You're apple cake didn't make it till lunch today at the office. All of it was gone by 11am!

  5. Great!! There's more where that came from...

  6. Sorry that you burned your hand - I know that hurt! Glad you enjoyed the apple cake recipe. It always feels like fall when that's in the oven. Thanks for the memories.
