Beginning of the End

Well, we are beginning to wind down here in our tiny little southern town. Everyone is starting to pack up their homes in order to move on to the next chapter in our working adult lives. While Business School was at first a transition for most of us wives, we'll definitely look back on this time with great memories and friends! This past weekend we hung out by the pool, cooked out and of course laughed hard! This was the last time that this group will be able to get together on a weekend before we all leave... But don't worry some are going to NYC with us!!

The cookout girls! Fun group
Beautiful salad
Julie's yummy yummy cake... Maybe she should guest blog and post the recipe??

Go West Young Man

Well, west village here we come! (Or we hope) As we were searching for apartments and neighborhoods last weekend we decided upon west village and the surrounding area. It has such a neighborhood feel to it with the tree lined streets and little shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops! We couldn't believe the size of the apartments up there - they are tinier than you can even imagine! Therefore, the glamour of living in the city has worn off and reality has set in. We're still incredibly excited we now just know that anything you see on TV, etc is at least 3 times the size you get. I couldn't believe it when I saw this awesome townhouse (where do you even get a townhouse in the village?) on Coco & Kelley' s blog yesterday. This is amazing but anyone who comes to visit us please expect to see our entire apartment in the size of their basement kitchen. :) Check it out since it is really cool!!! Have a great weekend!

Partaay!!!

Doesn't this just melt your heart?! It does mine but I'm also his Aunt so I'm a bit biased. We got this adorable invite in the mail when we returned home from our overwhelming NYC trip. I can't believe this little guy is already turning 1!!! Time flies (after the first crying month) haha Seriously though, little Spencer has changed our family's world. His bday is actually next week but his little party is this weekend. I am absolutely devastated that Hubby and I can't attend. I have searched and searched for affordable plane tickets but it seems there are none to be found! If anyone has a ticket for this weekend and wants to trade it for jewelry - I'm game! :) I can only imagine how fun and cute this party is going to be... lots of hide and seek, playing in the dirt, walking with hands in the air and chasing chunky little thighs. I hope that Sis takes lots of video and pics and then actually puts them up on their blog!!! (Yes, I believe that was a public call-out of a much needed blog update sis.) I can't wait to hear about their fun 1 year old party!

Free Shipping

I'm still processing everything we saw in NYC the past few days. We saw a ton of apartments and walked over 100 blocks so I'll post about that on a later date when I've thought through it all. So for now, I'll let you in on a secret... SMD has free shipping through May 7th before Mother's Day! That's right, it's time to shop for all those wonderful moms out there!! Enjoy!
