I've been working on multiple custom orders lately which has left me little time to create ready-made pieces. However, I was able to make a couple last week and will be making more for Spring/Summer. Here are the first couple...

1st Birthday in Florida
The Oscars were overshadowed by one very special little boy's first birthday yesterday! However, I have yet to make it one of my nephew's birthday parties. I hate living so far away so I live through photos that my mom sends me. She even did a walk-through video so I would feel like I was there. Thank goodness for facetime! Here are some funny pictures of little boy O eating his cake...

Laid Back
Thank you Presidents for a great long weekend! It's so nice to be able to have a low key long weekend with Ben around. The weather in New York has been wonderful this winter and this weekend proved to be the same. If you need a quick weekend getaway, come up to the city since this coming weekend the temperatures might even get to 60 degrees. Not to mention that plane tickets are cheap. And if you make the trip make sure and go see the Broadway play How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying! We saw it with some friends on Saturday night and it was great! It was surprisingly funny and for all you Jonas Brothers fans out there, Nick Jonas is the main character. (He took over Daniel Radcliffe's role after his few months were up.) There's singing, dancing, romance, and laughter. What more do you want in a play?
Besides getting dressed up for the show, we laid low this weekend. We ran by the Union Square farmer's market and picked up some veggies for a yummy veggie and polenta soup I made, taken from Giada De Laurentiis. I added a couple of ingredients and we haven't stopped eating it since. Here's her recipe. (I added sausage and mushrooms.)
Look at all those veggies! This is taken before the simmering begun so it hadn't thickened yet.
